Staying on top of the changes - ASME Boiler Code Week in Anchorage, AK

Jun 19, 2017 by CEI

Back in early May, our team of math and code nerds, Mike C, Antonio, and Tiradej, attended the ASME Boiler Code Week in Anchorage, Alaska.  All three of our guys have active committee memberships; but to stay on top of changes in the code, they attend several meetings through out the week.  Between them, they attended Subgroup Design, Subgroup Heat Transfer Equipment, Task Group U-2(g), Special Committee on Interpretations (all for BPV VIII), the main BPV VIII committee, the main BPV IX committee meeting, and the Subgroup General Requirements and Subgroup on Performance and Procedure Qualifications meetings, both for IX as well. Even though the days were long in Anchorage, figuratively and literally, it wasn't all work and no play. Antonio was able to see some nature on a bike one afternoon, while Mike and Tiradej hit the Redox Crossfit several times.  In addition, they all became fans of the local Brown Bag Sandwich Company.  Make sure you stop in for a visit if you are in Anchorage.
